The 2020 edition gives life to a new track with a distance of 42 km with about 1,000 altitude difference and the finish at” Prato Piazzo “at 2,031 meters above sea level, unique in this version throughout South Tyrol.
Only the first 200 athletes who register will have the honor of climbing up to Prato Piazza, where they will be able to admire the magnificent scenery of the Dolomites after a climb of 7 km with an average gradient of 10%. This track will be traditionally covered in classic style.
The start will always be from Sesto, the route will be the same as the classic one of 62km until the junction "Vista tre Cime" and "Val Fonda", and from there the athletes will continue straight up to the climb to Prato Piazza.
If for lack of snow it is not possible to reach Prato Piazza with cross-country skis, at the "Vista Tre Cime" the athletes will change their skis with running shoes and will continue running up to the most famous plateau of the Val Pusteria. This is to ensure the conduct of the race as well, as to offer athletes a unique and unforgettable experience.
