7. Transport of the garment bags
Participants put a tag with their start number on the bag and load it well tied onto the waiting vehicle. The bags will be distributed at the finish area. The organising committee accepts no liability for valuables in the clothing bag.

The clothing bags for the Prato Piazza Mountain Challenge on Sunday will be transported directly to Prato Piazza.

Attention! For environmental reasons, each participant must request the clothing bag separately at the start number distribution, if desired. The clothing bag is not automatically included in the start package.

8. Checkpoints, skiing technique and other rules for the race
Each participant must pass through the secret checkpoints.

In the classic race on saturday, only the classic technique is allowed. The use of the free style or the single or double skate step (310.2.2 IWO) will lead to disqualification by the Jury (343.8 IWO).

Please consider also the regulations for the maximum pole length of 83% of the athlete's height (343.8.1 IWO).

9. Anti Doping
There could be controls by anti-doping organisations. The FIS anti-doping regulations apply.

10. Time limits
If a competitor does not pass the various time limits within the maximum time allowed, he/she will be disqualified and must stop the race. The following time limits apply:

30 km and 62 km CT
11:00 -
road crossing in San Candido/Innichen (Haunold) (only 62 km)
12:00 - passage Nordic Arena Dobbiaco (only 62 km)
14:30 - 2nd passage Nordic Arena Dobbiaco (direction Villabassa)
16:00 - finish in Villabassa/Niederdorf

30 km Prato Piazza Mountain Challenge FT
11:00 - Lake Dobbiaco
12:30 - beginning of the climb to Prato Piazza/Plätzwiese
15:00 - finish in Prato Piazza/Plätzwiese

11. Overall ranking and categories

There will be an overall ranking and a ranking by category. All participants who finish the race within the maximum time limit will receive the finisher medal and a diploma (download from the datasport website). The ranking can be found on the website www.ski-marathon.com.

The prize-giving ceremony will take place on both race days at 14.00 p.m. in Villabassa and Prato Piazza. The first 3 men and women in the overall standings will be officially honoured. The first 3 athletes in the individual categories can get their prize in the race office.

30 + 62 km Classic on 13.01.2024:  
M-U23 & F-U23: years 2006 – 2001 (30 km: years 2008 – 2001)
M35 & F35: years 2000 – 1989
M45 & F45: years 1988 – 1979
M55 & F55: years 1978 – 1969
M65 & F65: years 1968 – 1959
M65+ & F65+: years 1958 and older

Prato Piazza Mountain Challenge on 14.01.2024:  
M35 & F35: years 2006 – 1989
M45 & F45: years 1988 – 1979
M55 & F55: years 1978 – 1969
M55+ & F55+: years 1968 and older

Unclaimed prizes will be deposited in the office of the ASV Sport OK Dobbiaco and can be collected there within one month after the race day. If the prizes are shipped, the participant pays the shipping costs.

12. Liability
a) By registering and paying the entry fee, participants accept without limitation the present regulations and release the Organising Committee from any liability, including for accidents before, during and after the race, or for damage caused by participants to third parties or other property.
b) Italian citizens also confirm to be in possession of a valid "sports medical certificate". For more details see point 3) of these regulations.
c) Participants agree to the exclusion of liability towards the organisers, sponsors, municipalities, owners of private properties, radio and television stations.
d) In case of weather problems, the organising committee will offer an alternative route. If the event has to be cancelled due to force majeure, the registration fee will be credited to the next edition of the Pustertal Ski-Marathon. However, if the race has to be cancelled less than 24 hours before the start, the organising committee reserves the right to keep all registration fees.
e) The organiser reserves the right to limit the number of participants or, if necessary, to change the route and the date.
f) The organising committee accepts no liability for participants' personal items.
g) Not returned microchips for timekeeping will be charged to the participant with Euro 30,00 (thirty).
h) For other points not listed in these regulations, the FIS standards for cross-country skiing  apply.

13. Reclaims
Complaints must be submitted in writing, in accordance with the FIS regulations for popular cross-country races and against a deposit within 60 minutes of the arrival of the first skier. If the complaint is accepted, the deposit will be refunded.

14. COVID Regulations
The actual COVID guidelines at the moment of the race of the FIS or FISI and the regulations of state and province will be applied.

In case of race cancellation due to COVID-19, the registration fee will be credited to the next edition of the Pustertal Ski-Marathon

15. Data protection
By registering, the participant accepts the transfer of his/her personal data to third parties for processing purposes within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation DSGVO (EU Regulation 2016/679).  Details at www.datasport.com/de/datenschutzerklaerung/.
