INFO "SKI CLASSICS"

SKI CLASSICS is the long distance ski championship consisting of the ten most traditional and prestigious ski events in the world.
The tour is a TV-concept with helicopters and snowmobiles.
The long distance ski races are all 50km or more and this unique winter events combining professional elite skiers with a huge mass of amateur skiers through picturesque landscapes around Europe. There are between 5.000 – 18.000 skiers on the start line at once.

25 pro-teams and amateurs competing in the same race !


COMPETITIONS
SKI CLASSICS consist of different competitions within each race in order to enhance the excitement within the TV product.
These competitions consist of elements such as sprint points, leader jersey woman and men, best young skier woman and men and the best team over the season.

YELLOW JERSEY CHAMPION
Is worn by the female and male leader in the individual competition

THE GREEN JERSEY SPRINT
Is worn by the leader of the sprint competition. There are 2-3 sprints per Ski Classics event. Five best athletes at the sprints get 40, 30, 20, 10, 5 points.

PINK JERSEY YOUTH
Is worn by female and male skiers – 26 years or younger

TEAM
The team competition calculates the points of the two best male athletes, sprint points and single best female athlete from each event.


TV DISTRIBUTION
SKI CLASSICS is media distributed to TV, internet, mobile and social media.
Fans can follow the races at Ski Classics Live Center on www.skiclassics.com and the Ski Classics App.

The races are broadcasted on TV in more than 70 countries around the world with more than 20 million viewers.
