34rd Pustertal Valley Ski-Marathon

1. 34rd Pustertal Valley Ski Marathon 2010:
Saturday, January 09 (classical style) with start in Toblach/Dobbiaco at 10 am and finish in Prags/Braies (28 km).
Sunday, January 10 (free style) with start in Toblach/Dobbiaco at 9.30 am and finish in Sexten/Sesto (42 km).
If you participate in both races (combined classification) entry has to be submitted by Saturday 9.30 am.

2. Participating athletes must be over 18 (18th birthday before January 09 or 10 2010) and members of a national skiing association.

Please show proof of your payment when collecting your bib number.

6. Entry fee entitles to participate in the race of your choice, have access to bus transfers, transportation of the clothes bag, refreshment stations along the track and in the finishing area. The fee cannot be refunded if athletes do not participate in the race for any reason (also force majeure).

7. Name changes and exchange of bibs are not permitted.

8. Starting grid
1st group: for members of a national team and scoring 90 points in the FISI ranking, athletes ranking among the top 100 of Marathon 2008 and 2009 (overall classification women and men)
2nd group: athletes from place 101  to 300 of Marathon 2008 and 2009 and the "most loyal racers"
3rd group: Marathon-"freshmen" and athletes who were not among the first 300 in Marathon 2008 and 2009.

9. Ski marking must be done before entering the starting area. The bags with your clothes must be equipped with an address tag and placed well-tied on the edge of the staring area.

10. It is allowed to change only one ski during the race and athletes are not obliged to give way to an overtaking skier. 

11. Checkpoints: Every athlete has to go through the secret checkpoints. In a race with classical style only this technique is allowed, those using freestyle will be disqualified. Those competing on Saturday in the classical race and finishing the race after 2 pm will not be ranked.
Those competing on Sunday in the freestyle race and finishing the race after 3.30 pm will not be ranked. Those who do not pass the time barrier in Innichen/San Candido (Haunold/Baranci) by 1.30 pm will also not be ranked.

12. Overall classification. All athletes finishing the race within the time limit will get a diploma and the ranking list which will be published on the website www.ski-marathon.com

13. Liability
a) With the registration and the payment of the entry fee the participants accept this regulation without any limitation, and declare to have the medical certificate according to Italian law (D.M. 18.2.1982). 
Upon registration, they release the organisation committee from any liability, also with respect to accidents before or during and after the race, as well with respect to any injury, loss or damage caused to a third party or to a third-party property by a participant.
Do not forget:
All athletes must show a medical certificate when collecting their race information pack!

b) Participants hereby waive any rights they may have to sue or raise any claims against the race organizers, sponsors, municipalities, private landowner, radio and Tv companies.
c) In case of bad weather conditions the organising committee will offer an alternative marathon track. If race is cancelled due to force majeure 50% of the entry fee will be refunded.
d) The organisers reserve the right to limit the number of competitors and if necessary to change the track and the day of the competition.
e) The organisers do not assume liability for valuable items kept in the clothes bag.

14. Complaints:
Complaints must be submitted in written form according to R.T.F. rules and by paying a deposit of 50,00 Euro within 30 minutes after the end of the race. If the complaint is accepted, the deposit will be refunded

15. Accomodation
Participants looking for accommodation and information should contact the tourist boards of the Upper Pusteria Valley.

16. The Pustertal Ski Marathon is part of  "Italian Ranking di Sci Nordico".
